PROSYS is currently involved  in IS-ACTIVE – Ambient Assisted Living European Program

The objective of IS-ACTIVE is to devise a person-centric healthcare solution for patients with chronic conditions – especially elderly people – based on the recent advances in wireless inertial sensing systems. Results are to be validated through field trials involving patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which became the fourth cause of death worldwide.

The project addresses all the development phases of such a prototype wireless sensing platform for patients with chronic conditions, from hardware platforms and software packages to algorithms and user interfacing. The consortium brings together healthcare and high-tech experts from The Netherlands, Romania and Norway. More details about the IS-ACTIVE project can be found at (http://www.is-active.eu/).

Also, PROSYS is involved in ongoing Romanian research projects:

  • COSTREMON – innovative system for monitoring and regulation of heat supply and distribution of heating costs in condominium buildings.

  • ANVINTEX – intelligent envelopes with environment energy use for high-comfort, low-energy consumption buildings.

  • REMORESE – molecular receivers and novel electrochemical sensors for environmental monitoring.
